Our Journey to Healthy Cooking Education
Fresh Ingredients School was born from a simple observation: many home cooks feel overwhelmed when it comes to preparing wholesome meals. In kitchens across Hungary and Eastern Europe, the knowledge of traditional cooking methods—the patience, the techniques, the intuition—seemed to be fading away. We decided to change that.
Our team of culinary educators began gathering time-tested recipes and modern cooking techniques, blending them into a clear, accessible curriculum. We believe that anyone can learn to cook with confidence and creativity. It's not about perfection; it's about understanding your ingredients, respecting the process, and finding joy in nourishment.
From our first small workshops in Győr to our growing online community, we've stayed true to one principle: every meal matters. Every choice you make in your kitchen shapes not just your dinner table, but your relationship with food itself.
Our Mission & Values

- ✓ Accessibility: Great cooking is for everyone, regardless of skill level or kitchen size.

How We Teach Healthy Cooking
Clear, Step-by-Step Guidance
We break every recipe and technique into digestible steps. Our articles and guides assume no prior knowledge, building skills progressively from the ground up. Whether you're learning to roast vegetables or prepare stock, each lesson is complete and immediately applicable.
Whole-Food, Fresh Ingredients Focus
We emphasize cooking with recognizable, whole ingredients. You'll learn to work with fresh vegetables, grains, legumes, herbs, and quality proteins—understanding how real food nourishes your body and creates flavor through proper technique, not processing.
Community-Driven Learning
Cooking is better when shared. Our community grows through shared recipes, kitchen stories, and mutual encouragement. We celebrate progress, answer questions, and foster a culture where every cook—beginner or experienced—feels welcome to learn and contribute.
What Our Students Say
Real stories from people whose kitchens and lives have been transformed by our teaching
Before finding Fresh Ingredients School, I felt like I was always relying on pre-made meals and takeout. The step-by-step approach taught me that I could actually cook proper food at home. Now my family sits down to real meals every evening, and I'm not exhausted doing it. The ingredient sourcing guidance especially helped me connect with local farmers near Budapest.
Judit Szőke
Home Cook, Budapest
As someone who grew up in a different country, I wanted to learn Hungarian cooking and also understand the nutritional side. Ágnes and the team made both accessible. I've learned not just recipes, but the why behind how we cook. My confidence in the kitchen has completely changed, and I love sharing these skills with my children.
Gábor Tóth
Software Developer, Győr
I signed up thinking I'd learn a few recipes, but what I found was an entire philosophy of respectful cooking. The community aspect keeps me engaged—I love reading what others are making and sharing my own kitchen wins. Fresh Ingredients School isn't just about cooking; it's about building a better relationship with food.

Why This Approach Works
Healthy cooking isn't a destination—it's a practice. We focus on building skills and understanding rather than following rigid rules.
Builds Real Skills, Not Quick Fixes
We teach you to understand your ingredients and master basic techniques. These skills stay with you for life and work in any kitchen, any season, any situation.
Celebrates Real Progress
There's no judgment, only encouragement. We know that learning happens at your own pace, and every small win—your first perfectly roasted chicken, a technique finally clicking—matters.
Works With Busy Lives
You don't need hours or expensive equipment. We focus on simple, achievable meals that fit real life—weeknight dinners, batch cooking, time-saving techniques that don't compromise quality.
Our Commitment to You
When you engage with Fresh Ingredients School, you're joining a community committed to honest, practical food education. We believe every person deserves to understand their food and feel confident in their kitchen. That means:
- → Honesty: We share what works and what doesn't. We don't oversimplify or hide the reality that cooking sometimes requires practice and patience.

- → Continuous Learning: We regularly update our content with new recipes, techniques, and insights. Food knowledge evolves, and so do we.
